Benefits

Real benefits for local people

We believe renewable energy projects should create lasting value for the regions that host them. That’s why community benefits are central to Macorna Wind Farm.

Beyond generating clean energy, the project has the potential to deliver direct advantages for neighbours and the wider Loddon community. Over the coming months we’ll be asking what matters most to you? Your input will shape how these benefits are shared.

Atmos will seek to provide funding from the Community Sponsorship Fund and Community Benefit Fund for local projects and initiatives in four channels:

  • Sponsorships

Once-off contributions providing support for community events, programs, or activities that align with Atmos values.

    Macorna Wind Farm Sponsorships
  • Community infrastructure funding

Funding to allow organisations to build new or repair exiting community infrastructure.

Do you have a local project or initiative in mind?

Send through your details and a little information about your project or initiative and we will keep you up to date with sponsorship application details.

Our region is leading the way in clean energy, agriculture and innovation – and Macorna, Pyramid Hill, Kerang and Tragowel will be at the heart of that future.

Whether its earthworks, infrastructure, building supply, accommodation or machinery operators and engineering – many local skills and suppliers will be crucial in supporting the project during the construction phase.

As part of our key objectives for the project, Atmos will continue to work closely with our partners to ensure the delivery and quality of opportunities for our host communities and First Nations peoples and suppliers.

We are committed to creating jobs for the local community. This includes engaging proactively with Indigenous contractors and other local suppliers.

If you’re a local supplier, business owner or job seeker, register your details if you would like your details to be included in our database of goods and services.
