We know large projects like Macorna Wind Farm affect real people and real places. That’s why we’re committed to working with communities from the start, listening carefully and developing planning solutions that reflect local priorities.
Whether you're a Traditional Custodian, a resident, a business owner, or a local organiser, your knowledge and experience can help us design a better project that fits in with your community.
We are committed to:
Transparency – When available, we will provide detail about plans, impacts and assessment processes, so that you have the full picture before giving feedback.
Collaboration – We want your local insights and feedback at every stage of the project, which will help guide our planning, construction and operational activities.
Outcomes – We commit to supporting your community needs, wherever possible.

Benefits
Real benefits for local people
We believe renewable energy projects should create lasting value for the regions that host them. That’s why community benefits are central to Macorna Wind Farm.
Beyond generating clean energy, the project has the potential to deliver direct advantages for neighbours and the wider Loddon community. Over the coming months we’ll be asking what matters most to you? Your input will shape how these benefits are shared.

Our region is leading the way in clean energy, agriculture and innovation – and Macorna, Pyramid Hill, Kerang and Tragowel will be at the heart of that future.
Whether its earthworks, infrastructure, building supply, accommodation or machinery operators and engineering – many local skills and suppliers will be crucial in supporting the project during the construction phase.
As part of our key objectives for the project, Atmos will continue to work closely with our partners to ensure the delivery and quality of opportunities for our host communities and First Nations peoples and suppliers.
We are committed to creating jobs for the local community. This includes engaging proactively with Indigenous contractors and other local suppliers.
If you’re a local supplier, business owner or job seeker, register your details if you would like your details to be included in our database of goods and services.
